Sunday 29th

  • 08:30: good morning
  • 09:15: checking the temperature calibration of the kitchen thermometer
  • 09:30: that doesn’t look good — boiling water at 88 degrees Celsius?
  • 09:45: or did I do the experiment wrong?
  • 09:55: okay, the thermometer indicates 100 degrees when it is almost completely submerged in boiling water. When the “spacer” between the point and the indicator is in the open air, it indicates less. I thought that a good kitchen thermometer indicates the temperature at the point (in the middle of the meat).
  • 10:30: checking in for the flight tomorrow
